We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Reconciliations Analyst
Purpose of the role:
The role is based in DBS - Operations Centres in Hyderabad and the job holder is responsible to undertake reconciliations activities including monitoring of suspense accounts and reporting, recording and escalating any variances. The role involves reconciliation of accounts, monitoring of entries within the specified accounts, identifying exceptions, substantiating account balances. Deliver excellent end to end customer service which provides stakeholders with a positive view of HSBC and meets their expectation in terms of accuracy, timeliness. To handle all the requests and queries as per the business standards and to provide resolution within agreed timescales and in accordance with the Bank’s procedures. Ensuring all end of day checks are duly completed.
In this role , you will :
- Good organizational skills, ability to handle work independently and thorough understanding of the job objectives
- High accuracy of complex processing to meet stringent cut-off times and minimize financial exposure to bank.
- To ensure that tasks are prioritized, processed and completed in accordance with procedures
- Knowledge and experience are shared with colleagues, providing assistance on referred/technical issues
- To strictly follow the Health, Safety, Fire and Security instructions as laid down from time to time
- To provide a high quality service, in line with procedures and compliance guidelines.
- To ensure that a high level of awareness about Compliance, Money Laundering and other legal and regulatory requirements are maintained at all times
To be succeed in this role:
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline is minimum. Knowledge: Entry level qualification as required for the process / as per the benchmark agreed upon between HR and Operations.
- Experience: Work experience is not essential.
- Skills:
- Ability to speak and understand English fluently. Ability to understand, analyze and interpret numeric data. Ability to write good business letters, emails, and reports. Good conversational/telephone skills (process specific)
- Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately. Flexibility to work in different shifts.
- Ability to build rapport with and relate to a wider range of people. Ability to maintain focus while working with voluminous data Ability to multi task. Ability to provide superior levels of Customer Service that goes above and beyond the normal expectations.
- What additional skills will be good to have - All applicants must have successfully completed their probation period. Employees must meet performance and behavioral standards as defined in the policy. All applicants should have served at least 12 months and should have successfully completed respective learning curve tenure, in their current role as on closing date. Applicant should not be on a corrective action plan/ disciplinary action in the last 6 months or any other performance action as on the date of application.
