We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

- Support the organisation’s data and reporting needs by working with the teams and platforms that store and analyse information.
- Help deliver outcomes using cloud-based services, ensuring solutions are reliable, cost-effective, and fit for purpose.
- Create and maintain data extracts, reports, and supporting scripts so that stakeholders can access accurate and timely information.
- Look after the day-to-day health of key data platforms, planning improvements and upgrades with minimal disruption to users.
- Work as part of an Agile team, contributing to planning, delivery, and ongoing improvements.
- Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to a range of stakeholders, including clients and senior leaders.
- Coordinate with technology, risk, and security teams to address compliance and audit items, ensuring issues are resolved on time.
- Support service stability by helping investigate and resolve incidents, and by improving monitoring and operational processes over time.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience supporting business-critical data platforms in a cloud environment, including routine maintenance and planned updates.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with experience investigating service slowdowns and recommending practical improvements.
- Experience with continuity planning (backups, recovery testing, and ensuring services can be restored within agreed timeframes).
- Familiarity with good operational practices: using dashboards, alerts, and logs to spot issues early and prevent repeat incidents.
- A good understanding of security expectations and how to apply them in day-to-day work (managing access, protecting sensitive data, and following approved controls).
- A continuous-improvement mindset, using automation where possible to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
- Experience working through audit or compliance actions with multiple teams and following through to closure.
- Strong collaboration skills in production support: working with specialist teams during incidents, supporting root-cause analysis, and coordinating changes to improve stability and scalability.
