We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Operations -Process Governance and MI
In this role, you will:
- Execute and monitor the end-to-end operational control framework across GLS Operations products and processes.
- Conduct periodic control reviews, process health checks, and risk assessments to identify control gaps, process breaks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor KRIs, control metrics, operational losses, and incidents; escalate material risks/issues with clear mitigation options.
- Investigate incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions with measurable remediation milestones.
- Track and coordinate closure of audit findings, regulatory actions, self-identified issues, and remediation plans; support RCSA, control testing, and evidence requirements.
- Own and run governance forums and cadences (governance working groups and weekly/monthly MI reviews): agenda, papers, minutes, decisions, action tracking, and consistent artefacts (ToR, RACI, logs).
- Own process governance standards and documentation: maintain SOPs, process maps, control narratives, clear ownership, and RACI; drive standardisation across teams/sites.
- Define and deliver MI strategy and “single version of the truth”: KPI/KRI library, metric definitions, data lineage, reporting standards, and executive MI packs/dashboards with insight and actions.
- Strengthen data integrity and reduce manual effort through reconciliations/validation controls, exception handling, and automation of MI and controls; provide forecasting/scenario insights for planning and resourcing.
- Lead stakeholders and people: partner across Operations, Product, Technology, Risk/Compliance, Finance and Audit; communicate clearly to senior forums; coach and develop teams, fostering an inclusive, continuous-improvement and control-minded culture.
To be successful you will:
- 4–5 years’ experience in Banking/Liquidity Operations, Operational Risk, Controls, Audit, or Governance.
- Strong understanding of operational risk management and internal control frameworks, plus risk governance practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in audit management, issue remediation, and control testing.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capability; able to interpret numeric data and work accurately with high volumes of data.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including writing high-quality business emails, letters, and reports.
- Reporting/data analysis tools experience is desirable (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or risk management qualifications are advantageous.
- Liquidity product/solutions knowledge is highly advantageous; experience managing testing cycles (UAT/PVT) is valued.
- Success measures include timely closure of audit/risk actions, reduced repeat incidents/control failures, strong control effectiveness/compliance, successful audits/regulatory reviews, improved resilience via controls/automation, and positive stakeholder feedback.
