We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Operations-Operational Risk and Control
In this role, you will:
- Own and enhance the Liquidity Operations control framework (risk/control mapping, ownership, and evidence standards).
- Run control assurance activity including periodic reviews, process health checks, thematic deep dives, and risk assessments to identify gaps and improvements.
- Monitor control performance and risk signals (Key Risk Indicators, metrics, losses, incidents) and escalate material breaches and emerging risks via governance.
- Lead incident management end-to-end: investigation, root-cause analysis, and delivery of corrective/preventative actions with lessons learned embedded.
- Manage issues and actions to closure across audits, regulatory actions, and self-identified items—log, challenge, track, and validate completion.
- Support Risk & Control Self‑Assessment, control testing, and governance reviews ensuring outcomes are robust and remediation is sustainable.
- Maintain compliance and audit readiness through policy/regulatory adherence and strong documentation
(Standard Operating Procedures, narratives, process maps, logs).
- Strengthen the control environment through partnership and change governance: collaborate across Operations/Risk/Compliance/Product/Tech, embed control-by-design in deliveries, and provide decision-useful Management Information /dashboards while driving automation and simplification.
To be successful you will:
- Relevant experience: 4–5 years in banking (Liquidity Operations), Operational Risk, Controls, Audit, and/or Governance.
- Risk & control capability: Strong understanding of operational risk management and internal control frameworks (risk ID, control design, evidence standards, issue management).
- Audit and remediation track record: Experience managing audits, performing control testing, and driving issue remediation to timely closure.
- Regulatory & governance knowledge: Working knowledge of regulatory expectations and risk governance practices; supports successful audits/regulatory reviews.
- Liquidity operations know-how: Familiar with liquidity processes and monitoring/reporting (reconciliations, data lineage, key inputs/outputs, exception management).
- Control environment expertise: Understanding of access management, segregation of duties, maker-checker controls, and monitoring/alerting in operational settings.
- Analytical + stakeholder strength: Strong investigative/problem-solving skills; excellent communication/documentation; able to present Management Information and recommendations to governance forums.
- Tools, change, and extras: Reporting/data tools (Excel/Power BI/Tableau) desirable; awareness of change/release and control-by-design; Lean Six Sigma/risk certifications a plus; right to work required (subject to local rules).
