We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Learning and Development.
Purpose of the role
To design end-to-end learning solutions across the organization, for multiple business verticals spread across different locations in India. The Learning Consultant would be expected to drive the execution of key priorities toward achieving the L&TD team goals.
In this role, you will:
- Implement Learning Strategy - Work with HSBC Technology India Learning & Talent Development CoE as a Learning Consultant to help the team define and implement sustainable, strategic learning initiatives.
- Data Analytics & Reporting - Lead data analysis to drive advanced understanding of learning consumption, maintain reports on learning consumption and make informed decisions about training program improvements and investments.
- Independently manage process related to the tracking learner compliance with mandatory/recommended learning requirements and onboarding trainings; Ensure HSBC policies, programs, and guidelines are followed and manage exemptions/exceptions, as needed
- Participate in or lead learning project teams to build positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, SMEs, and peers; Provide functional area expertise to identify, research and resolve complex problems; independently execute and operationalize development programs and processes.
- Track and maintain the learning budget for L&TD CoE by using advanced financial management skills; Proactively identify risks and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
- Design and create dashboards to track learning metrics, seat utilization, and other key performance indicators that inform decision-making and demonstrate the impact of learning initiatives; Drive learning efficiency by optimizing processes, leveraging technology, and implementing best practices to maximize the value of learning investment.
- Oversee and manage seat utilization to ensure high attendance rates and minimize wasted resources, adjusting strategies as need be; Responsible to manage the relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Audit Preparedness: Prepare for and manage internal and external audits related to training programs; Oversee the delivery of Tech India learning and capability development programs through collaboration with Tech Academy and core COE teams
Leadership & Teamwork
- Leverage deep relationship with key business leaders and develop a strong understanding of business needs and strategic priorities to provide effective service delivery
- Act as a learning consultant and manage key stakeholder relationships across business verticals and locations; Build strong and deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support L&TD Lead in the dissemination and monitoring of the team’s BAU assignments as well as track and drive the completion of tasks, projects deliverables
- Oversee to ensure the timely and accurate updating, completion, submission, and maintenance of pertinent records, reports, trackers, and required management information using designated templates, data platforms, and the learning management system
- Create and submit quarterly training calendar to external global delivery partner in a timely manner. Publish calendar on time for business to enrol and participate; Deploy HSBC University priority programs, Global Mandatory Trainings, D&I Training within expected timeline
- Needs Assessment: Work with different departments to identify training needs and align them with business objectives.
To be successful you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience in L&D, with a strong track record of establishing credibility and delivering results.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanour with an ability to interact with diverse audiences.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, perform independently and work under strict guidelines, ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to make rational decisions and navigate through complex scenarios with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Exposure to program design and content development; proven Project / Change Management experience with a strong focus on delivery.
- Strong focus on internal staff development and driving process efficiencies.
