IT Service Owner (ITSO) is a named individual who has responsibility for the ongoing supply and support of an IT Service or an entire Business Technology Service. They provide a single point of contact for any inquiries related to the provision and sustainability of the service.

ITSO role also represents Technology Service Owner (TSO) who is responsible for governance and compliance of a single or multiple technology service(s) with HSBC’s policies, procedures, and controls.

An ITSO does not work in isolation and is part of the support team either from the line of Delivery or Production Support area. Therefore, teamwork and collaboration is pivotal to their success and as such plays a vital role in all daily interactions.

We are seeking for the role of Lead Business Analyst

What you’ll do

  • Own IT services (IT applications) at HSBC and be responsible for the management  and support of such IT services throughout the life cycle of the service (build, deployment, production support and service demise).
  • Organize and manage change activity (scoping the change work, planning its implementation, arrangements with impacted interfacing parties, assessment of service/customer impact etc.).
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, Business Stakeholders and further surrounding teams and IT units located in UK, India, China or MENA countries.
  • Be the point of contact and escalation point for IT services owned while closely working with HSBC’s IT Service Management teams, Business Service Owners and 1st Line of Defense function.
  • Engage with all relevant stakeholders from technology and the business on a regular basis and maintain an accurate visibility on their service availability, operability metrics, risk appetite, incidents and control effectiveness.
  • Be responsible to understand Key Control requirements of the processes supporting the services of all stakeholders. This includes Service Continuity, Capacity Management, Cyber Security, Access Control, Disaster Recovery, Performance Monitoring, Configuration Management and other relevant control requirements.
  • Offer project consultancy and support as needed.
  • Lead, grow and co-ordinate the team of individuals.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Min. 2 year of experience in technology support and technology & services deployment.
  • Knowledge of the configuration of Linux and Windows Servers and its middleware.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as (GitHub, Confluence and Jira).
  • Demonstrable expertise as a technical software engineer.
  • Familiarity with complex technology architecture.
  • Domain (Financial or Banking services) experience.
  • DevOps (pipeline) management experience (using GitHuB, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Jira, Confluence and G3).
