This includes oversight of any global externally contracted recruitment delivery models and contingent workforce engagement channels (e.g. Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Resource Augmentation, Contingent worker Managed Service).
  • Operating as the second line of defense for Enterprise Talent (ET), the role ensures the right governance and approvals are in place for change initiatives and consistently followed thereafter, meeting internal control standards, internal and external audit and assurance requirements, data privacy obligations, and applicable local labour laws and regulatory requirements—while keeping governance proportionate so it supports, rather than detracts from our customer experience.
  • The role defines the control and governance framework and expectations, provides effective oversight and constructive challenge, and confirms adherence through monitoring and testing, assurance activity, and maintaining audit readiness.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and monitor ET policies, , the global risk-and-control framework, and clear RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) ownership across teams, markets and vendors.
  • Lead the ET monthly Risk Management Meeting and advise leadership on complex governance, risk and control matters.
  • Ensure adherence to global and local controls, internal policies, entity-level controls, labor laws, compliance requirements and audit actions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit readiness, requests and responses with Internal Audit, HR Risk, SOX (Sarbanes–Oxley Act) , FCC (Financial Crime Compliance) and other stakeholders.
  • Establish governance for contingent workers, including engagement channels, labor-law requirements, third-party worker risks and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, data protection and cross-border transfer requirements, including Data Visas and IGSAs.
  • Maintain the ET Business Continuity Plan and oversee annual Risk and Control Assessments aligned with the Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Conduct quality assurance and control monitoring, report effectiveness and issues, investigate root causes, and drive remediation.
  • Govern ET suppliers, including service reviews, SLAs (Service Level Agreement), assurance, renewals, RFPs (Request for Proposal), contract changes, cost, performance and supplier-risk escalation.
  • Promote fair customer treatment and Group Values while reassessing operational, regulatory, technology and compliance risks and maintaining effective internal controls.

To be successful you will:

  • 12-20 yrs of experience in global risk, controls and compliance leadership: Proven experience leading risk, controls and compliance for Talent Acquisition/Talent Management—or comparable People processes—across multiple countries or regions in a regulated environment, including defining and maintaining a global risk and control framework.
  • Governance design and policy adherence: Strong track record of designing and embedding governance and approval controls, including senior committee or forums, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, standards and AB&C expectations.
  • Control monitoring, assurance and MI (Market Intelligence) : Experience running periodic control monitoring, testing and assurance activities; producing clear management information for senior leadership; and using insights to reduce exceptions and improve control effectiveness.
  • Issue investigation and remediation: Proven ability to investigate control breaches and process divergence, conduct root-cause analysis, assess and quantify impact, and drive remediation to closure through named owners, agreed timelines and sustainable fixes.
  • Audit readiness and delivery: Evidence of maintaining audit-ready documentation and evidence packs, coordinating audit requests and responses, and managing audit findings through to closure within agreed timelines.
  • Data privacy and sensitive-data handling: Demonstrated working knowledge of data privacy and data-protection requirements, with practical experience applying them to hiring and talent processes, associated data flows and relevant cross-border considerations.
  • Senior stakeholder influence and conflict resolution: Proven ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders and key control functions, including People Business Risk/ ER (Employee Relations), Legal and Market Operations, while resolving tensions between delivery pace, local requirements and global standards.
  • Executive communication and vendor governance: Ability to produce decision-ready updates for senior audiences, including escalation triggers, options analysis and recommendations, alongside experience governing a multi-vendor ecosystem through clear performance metrics, service governance and continuous improvement.
  • Commercial, procurement and benefits realization: Track record of partnering with Procurement on supplier selection and contracting, including RFP inputs, evaluation criteria and award recommendations, while delivering benefits such as cost reduction, leakage reduction, supplier rationalization and improved commercial compliance.
  • MSP, contingent staffing and third-party risk governance: Experience managing MSP (Managed Service Provider) arrangements, including rate-card discipline, and controlling the full contingent-worker lifecycle—onboarding, extensions and tenure governance, compliance checks and clean offboarding—together with completing TPEM (Third Party Engagement Management) activities, identifying control gaps, driving mitigations and escalating material supplier risks appropriately
