We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of an Associate Director, Software Engineering
In this role, you will:
- Establish Engineering Practices:
- Define and implement engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Governance and Compliance:
- Oversee adherence to established engineering practices and governance frameworks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to engineering teams in the use of Google Cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and coach team members in application architecture, data management, and AI technologies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on engineering practices and objectives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to promote best practices.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the engineering practice.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies, including the use of DORA metrics to assess performance.
- Performance Metrics:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including DORA metrics, to measure the effectiveness of engineering practices.
- Report on progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on engineering practices and governance.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in application architecture and data management.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in banking or financial services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Technical acumen in cloud computing, CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to influence and drive change within a complex organizational structure.
- Strong analytical skills to assess engineering practices and recommend improvements.
