HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Sr. Associate Director, Delivery Management Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Own and maintain the integrated DCP delivery plan across SVSs, squads, and suppliers (roadmap, milestones, critical path, dependencies). Establish a consistent delivery cadence across squads (quarterly planning, sprint alignment, cross-squad syncs, integrated demos). Ensure alignment from strategy → epics/features → delivery → release, with clear scope boundaries and acceptance criteria.
- Lead preparation for quarterly (PI-style) planning: scope readiness, capacity views, dependency identification, risk pre-work, supplier alignment. Facilitate planning outcomes: committed objectives, milestones, dependency agreements, and contingency options. Track execution against objectives, driving re-planning where needed to protect outcomes and manage change.
- Maintain an end-to-end dependency map across squads, platforms, environments, data, and upstream/downstream systems. Identify and recommend sequencing options across SVSs to optimise value, regulatory commitments, operational stability, and risk reduction. Drive resolution of blockers through structured forums, clear ownership, and time-bound actions.
- Coordinate integrated release planning across squads and suppliers (release calendar, cutover approach, environment readiness, integration testing). Ensure non-functional requirements are planned and delivered (resilience, performance, monitoring, security, supportability). Drive operational readiness: runbooks, monitoring/alerting, service acceptance, support handover, hypercare.
- Act as the primary programme interface for the DCP Chief Product Owner, ensuring transparent progress and clear decision points. Run fit-for-purpose governance: delivery reviews, dependency/RAID reviews, release readiness checkpoints, and exec updates. Provide options and recommendations to resolve priority conflicts, capacity constraints, and delivery risks.
- Provide stakeholder reporting that is concise, decision-ready, and tailored by audience. Own programme-level RAID and decision/action logs; ensure timely mitigation and escalation. Ensure delivery aligns with relevant technology controls, change/release processes, and operational resilience expectations. Coordinate delivery across third-party suppliers: deliverables, timelines, acceptance criteria, and performance management.
- Integrated DCP roadmap and milestone plan (cross-SVS), including dependency map and critical path. Quarterly (PI-style) plan pack: objectives, capacity assumptions, key milestones, risks, sequencing options. Release plan and readiness pack (integration, NFRs, cutover, operational readiness, hypercare). Stakeholder reporting suite: weekly dashboard, fortnightly delivery narrative, monthly governance pack. RAID log, decision log, action log
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven programme management experience delivering complex technology change in an Agile at Scale environment.
- Strong integrated planning, dependency management, and cross-team coordination capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence without direct authority.
- Good Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, CoE toolkit, ALM, environment strategy, DLP, connectors, solution patterns).
- Strong reporting and governance skills—able to translate delivery detail into clear decisions and actions.
- Experience coordinating multi-team releases, integration, and operational readiness
- Experience with digital lending / credit platforms or banking platforms. Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD, automated testing, and release automation. (Good to have)
- Multi-vendor/supplier delivery management experience. Experience using agile delivery metrics and flow measures to improve predictability (Good to have)
