We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Configuration analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Analysing and understanding the business processes in detail where required. Identifying and communicating the technical software requirements. Designing automated process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions. Configuring new automated processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand. Creating and maintaining solution documentation. Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
  • Problem solving issues that arise in day-to-day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required. Communicating with software suppliers through the team structure on software related issues, suggested improvements and participating with other users in the automation community. Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phases. Supporting the Operational Teams during the User Acceptance Testing and rollout phases. Coordinates with Information Technology Infrastructure Delivery, Operations Information Technology verticals teams, run support for day-to-day activities. Build professional relationships with colleagues in other digital Operations Centers. Attend daily Scrum calls with stakeholders during project phase.
  • Effectively work with the team members during projects implementation process and build a good rapport within the team. Inform parties concerned of the progress on the ongoing projects, change requests and coordinate the work among involved members on the assigned tasks. Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases.        
  • Influence and work with technology/delivery teams to progress the work according to plan. Come up with best practices that enable the efficient use of the available resources. The individual will need to multi-task and set their own priorities. They must be aware of deadlines and ensure timely delivery at all times. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to manage demand
  • Must interact and work with the DOC (Digital Operations Centre) teams in China, Mexico, India and UK spanning different time zones. Seek guidance and advice from his/her line/functional manager as and when required. Reports to TS (Transaction Services) Automation Lead. Works in the Automation team in Hyderabad. The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation
  • This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviors that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators. The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations.
  • In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the ‘Three Lines of Defense’. The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defense, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required. Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Adheres to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators. Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically. Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy. The job holder is not authorized for any approval at this stage

To be successful you will:

  • Should have at least an year of experience in Power Automate Desktop and Powerapps, 4-5 years in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Blue Prism (overall experience of 5-7 years in other technologies i.e .net, java), PL500 and PL900 Certification is essential.
  • Candidate should have experience of delivering low to high complexity automation projects end to end. Working in Power Automate Desktop to design, develop and deploy automations in collaboration with teams as an individual contributor. Knowledge and experience of using API (Application Programming Interface) in PAD (Power Automate Desktop).
  • Develop and document configuration best practices, configure new processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
  • Drive the strategic and tactical roll-out of the solution to operations by creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-User Acceptance Testing phases and supporting the Operational Teams during the User Acceptance Testing and rollout phases.   • Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process as well as problem solving issues that arise in day-to-day running of automation processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required. Experience working on Waterfall (SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)) and Agile Methodologies
  • An understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram. An aptitude for logic and mathematics. An understanding of formal change control procedures and disciplines.
  • An ability to envisage how an automated solution will work in a wider business environment, to understand its advantages and what its effect will be. Good written skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designs.
