We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager - Credit Review

In this role, you will:

  • Portfolio Analysis of various Reviewable Entities within Banking/ CMB/ FIG book to ensure a representative sample is selected in the review exercise.
  • Manage workflows independently during various Full Scope Review/ Process Tests; act as the liaison between the Reviewers across both sites in India and the Team Head/ Lead Reviewer.
  • Assist the Team Head for any ad hoc work as may be required and take over other administrative responsibilities in his absence.
  • Ensure timely and good quality delivery of the various workflows that are allotted to the team.
  • Ensure adherence to operating procedures in line with Global Credit Risk Review as well as region specific policies.
  • Identify streamlining opportunities in the Credit Review process.
  • Development of MI for monitoring & reporting of the quality / quantity of outputs.

  • Deliver timely, well-reasoned, informed and clear reports. All tasks must be delivered with professionalism and empathy, earning the respect of the business and adding value where appropriate.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Credit Risk Review team as well as Relationship Managers and Lending Executives across the reviewable entities by delivering value added service and establish rapport and credibility.
  • Implement operating procedures in line with policy and procedures as determined by Global Credit Risk Review and ensure strict adherence to HSBC Group compliance and operational risk controls and regulatory standards, policies and practices, report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.
  • Drive a high-performance culture within the team by displaying high quality and engagement levels and ensure business continuity and stability. Participate in the local management and GSC site activities.
  • Individuals with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an exposure to Commercial credit risk, lending and credit analysis, Loan Review, Loan workout etc. Proficient in Excel/Advanced Excel, proficient in software packages, preferred.
  • Academics – bachelor’s Graduate degree. Candidates with MBA-Finance or equivalent/ CA/ ICWA/ CS/ CAIIB preferred.
  • Strong analytical (credit / financial) and problem-solving skills with ability to quickly process data & facts to arrive at meaningful conclusions. Ability to exercise discretion, work independently within broad guidelines, tactfully handle sensitive and confidential data, deliver high quality results within tight timeframes, manage multiple projects simultaneously and motivate and develop a professional staff.
