We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Financial Crime Capabilities 

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Uses a range of data tools (including SQL and python on Hadoop and GCP environments) to perform analysis/analytics tasks on a broad range of datasets to yield insight that are most valuable to users.
  • Proactively builds domain expertise in monitoring platforms and datasets (such as Splunk, Looker studio or GCP logging data), security and entitlements controls to support capability build in these areas.
  • Manages the vision of what is to-be built and conveys that vision to the Business, Architecture and Technology teams for the Value Stream and beyond where required.
  • Works closely together with the Agile Team to inspect and assure the work being delivered and evaluate progress.
  • Defines priorities and tracks activities for other members of the team (including data analysts and developers).
  • Maintains and leads communication with business and technology stakeholders, including Technology representatives, Value Stream leadership/senior management, risk stewards, and regional/line of business representatives, resolving conflicting stakeholder priorities.

 

To be successful you will:

 

  • Experience as a product owner in a financial services and/or technology domain practicing relevant agile methodologies (i.e. scrum or kanban and operating in sprints)
  • Previous data analysis/engineering/analytics expertise and familiarity with SQL desirable
  • Drives measurable continuous improvement into all delivery environments across all disciplines
  • Previous experience with Splunk tool and/or GCP environments desirable or with a willingness to learn and build working knowledge.
  • Ensuring team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Working technical expertise around data engineering or analytics to support requirements translation and initial solution design work.
