We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as Head of Sales, Global Trade Solutions
Roles & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- As the Head of Sales, the job holder has to understand the needs of the customer and be able to provide a thought through solution that meets their need. Solutions provided must be compliant with legal restrictions, banking practices, regulatory considerations and the Bank's own evolving product/service capabilities.
- With the support of Country Head, the job holder proactively contributes to the revenue and NPBT increase for GTS, and operates with authority and autonomy under Group GTS FIM in initiating and executing strategies to drive revenue growth in Vietnam.
- The job also involves engagement with other stakeholders such as Coverage, Risk, Regulatory & Compliance, Legal, Finance, Regional and Global GTS teams in ensuring that the GTS transactions are executed under the appropriate framework (legal, regulatory, financial crime risk etc).
- Furthermore, increased awareness of Financial Crime Risk is paramount to this role. The job holder needs to have a complete awareness of the portfolio and ensure that there is adequate understanding of the Sanctions/Anti-money laundering (overall FCC) risks associated with the customer base.
- Last but not the least, the position holder will be responsible for conducting outreach events to engage customers and ensure that the products/services offered by the Bank get the required visibility among our current and prospective customer base.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of GTS services, products and stakeholder management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the market and market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.
- Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk
- Experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve customer and financial targets.
- Knowledge of the Corporate and Institutional Banking market both locally and globally including the competitive landscape, with a detailed knowledge of competitor propositions.
- Good understanding of the international business trade cycle and the business processes involved when importing and exporting.
- Knowledge of Corporate and Institutional Banking’s international proposition and product capabilities
- Broad knowledge of HSBC Group capabilities and values
