Purpose of the role  

  • We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Rules & Reporting Analyst to support the configuration of regulatory rules and reporting frameworks for the implementation of a SaaS-based regulatory calculation and reporting solution. This role will focus on defining, implementing, and validating regulatory rules across multiple global jurisdictions to ensure compliance with evolving requirements.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate closely with risk, compliance, and technology teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure that the solution accurately reflects regulatory calculations and reporting expectations.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Define and configure calculation rules within the SaaS solution, ensuring compliance with global regulatory frameworks.
  • Work with risk and finance teams to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into system rules.
  • Work with technology and vendor teams to implement and validate rule logic, ensuring accuracy in calculations, and enhance rule configuration capabilities.
  • Conduct gap analyses to align the solution with jurisdiction-specific regulatory variations.
  • Configure reporting templates and workflows to meet jurisdictional regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure consistency between regulatory rules, data inputs, and final reporting outputs.
  • Support testing and validation of reports to ensure completeness and accuracy before regulatory submission.
  • Define and implement solutions to resolve the root cause of EUCs in the legacy estate, and drive automation of EUCs within new solution.
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to improve the efficiency and reliability of the reporting framework.
  • Develop test cases and execute test scenarios to validate rule configurations and reporting logic.
  • Investigate discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve rule or calculation issues.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ongoing monitoring of the solution post-implementation.
  • This role entails the need to possess notable skills in project or change delivery and communicating & engaging with multiple stakeholders across teams.

 

To be successful you will:

  • Qualified accountant (CA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent) or MBA Finance from a reputed institute with 10-12 yrs. or M.com or equivalent degree with 14-18 yrs. experience in Regulatory/Financial Reporting/ Analysis.
  • Experienced Finance Professional with a proven track record of delivering Regulatory Reporting or Financial Reporting obligations within a large-scale financial services entity.
  • Strong technical understanding of Calculation and Reporting requirements underpinning Credit Risk RWA, Capital and Leverage rules, including Basel 3.1 changes.  
  • Hands-on experience in cross jurisdiction prudential reporting for PRA, HKMA and MAS, including COREP and Pillar 3 disclosures.
  • Experience with reporting tools and query languages/ scripting and experience working with cloud-based regulatory solutions and APIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and abilities to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in playing a key role in leading and delivering a complex change project in the Financial and Regulatory reporting space.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong management, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills including the ability to listen to and influence stakeholders at all levels, and to build consensus among a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.
