We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Treasury Risk Assurance
In this role, you will:
- Managing the overall control environment and creating awareness across teams and levels with a view to manage operational incidents and ensure compliance with Global standards
- Facilitate and evaluate the risk and control assessment for the processes to ensure that risks and underline controls are adequately identified and assessed
- Ensure adequate governance through risk committees and dashboards to highlight the status of risk and control environment
- Perform management and thematic reviews for the high risk processes and socialize themes emerging from the reviews to prevent recurrence
- Recording, tracking and testing around Management Self-Identified Issues to ensure compliance with internal audit criteria’s
- Liaise with internal/external auditors and ensure audit preparedness of operation teams. Also, track and provide issue remediation testing for audit findings
- Work closely with regional control teams and global control office to manage the risks in the end-to-end processes
- Ensure adequacy of framework around SOX, Material Controls and Key Controls
- Building and managing relationship with the stakeholders
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships to enhance awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
To be successful you will:
- CA/MBA with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in leading accounting firms / financial services sector
- Experience of conducting internal audit, control testing and risk management
- Strong risk and control experience as a first line/second line of defense/third line of defense
- Understanding of SOX, Material Controls and Key Controls
- Experience of interacting with auditors / performing audits would be preferred
- Previous experience of working in Audit and/or Assurance.
- Knowledge of HSBC’s Non-Financial Risk Framework and the three lines of defence and financial and regulatory requirements .
- Ability to work collaboratively and be a strong team player
