We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Manager, Chief Operating Officer Centre of Excellence

Purpose of the role:

The Business Manager, Chief Operating Officer Centre of Excellence supports effective execution of third-party risk, cost management, business continuity, incident management and other non-financial risk activities. The role ensures accurate and timely completion of activities, with appropriate governance, monitoring and escalation of any deficiencies.

In this role, you will:

• Execute activities related to third-party risk, cost management, business continuity and other non-financial risks, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time, with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate.
• Understand and manage risks associated with the delivery service(s) and engagement(s).
• Drive non-financial risk activities while collaborating with colleagues within and outside Financial Services and Global Executive Committee.
• Ensure regular ongoing monitoring of delivery service(s) and engagement(s), and review associated documentation in line with governance and escalation requirements.
• Identify, track and address control deficiencies and performance issues, ensuring remediation activities are completed with timely follow-up.
• Deliver essential management information on the function’s cost and headcount performance and provide projections for monthly forecasting and annual planning cycles.
• Execute activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workforce and cost data.
• Support oversight across third-party risk monitoring and remediation, cost management, and non-financial risk controls owned by Chief Operating Officer Finance.

To be successful you will:

• Experience managing and reviewing third-party risks and/or non-financial risks in the financial services sector.
• Experience in headcount and cost management and analytics.
• Understanding of the risks and controls framework.
• Strong financial management and business analysis experience, with sound technical and commercial understanding of what drives reported numbers.
• Proven relationship management and team engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior and junior levels within a global organisation.
• Structure and rigour to coordinate and follow through on multiple activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organisational skills.
• A self-starter who is confident to challenge appropriately, and open to guidance and continuous learning.
