We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Finance Operations

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate the RET input and responsible for Sharing the RET file to all the Legal entity financial controllers. Devise strategic approach for enabling timely and accurate delivery, meeting agreed SLAs and internal timelines.
  • Take measures to provide guidance on the cost booking, in line with reporting standards. Responsible for driving the monthly and quarterly SARACEN vs RET reconciliation process.  And for ensuring compliance with applicable financial and regulatory standards and timelines.
  • Responsible for participating in end-to-end process reviews to identify and resolve inefficiencies and control gaps. Extend strategic support to enable documentation and execution of controls in order to strengthen the control environment.
  • Liaise with upstream teams (e.g., data providers, operations) and downstream users (e.g., reporting, compliance) to ensure maintenance data quality and process alignment.
  • Responsible for coordinating audit requests by preparing supporting documents and responding to audit queries. Responsible for ensuring compliance with audit timelines and participate in implementing action plans to close audit findings.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely update and maintenance of RCAs, BIAs, PLAs and ensuring all other documents like the SOPs are in place and updated. Responsible for serving as the Analytics Lead for financial accounting team, collaborating with Business Partners to deliver insightful, data-driven solutions that support strategic decisions and enhance business performance.
  • Take measures to provide analytics thought leadership with a deep understanding of problem statement and use of best-in-class technical solution – ranging from simple transformation concepts to complex data science themes. These can range from optimization/modelling concepts to various product dynamics and the ability to connect forecasts and actuals to market trends, strategy, customer behaviour, and assumptions.
  • Enable mapping the journey of successful POCs to full scale deployment & production. Develop best in automated solutions that minimize manual effort & use new technology that is easily deployable.
  • Enable the development of analytical tools and models to provide insights for balance sheet accuracy & controller objectives. Collaborate across teams to test, and implement
  • Responsible for monitoring regulatory developments and assess their impact on models & analytical objectives in FA. Device strategies for standardization and simplification across functions and track their effectiveness and efficiency.

To be successful you will:

  • Recognized professional Accounting or Management qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA Finance/ICWAI) with 10+ years of experience predominantly in Finance, including in leadership positions managing complex requirements from senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of month end closure & Reporting processes at large financial institutions will be preferred
  • Experience and working knowledge of IFRS (DipIFR certification would be an added advantage) with deep understanding of financial disclosure and compliance requirements.
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of SARACEN, General Ledger like Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft including related data flows
  • Experience that demonstrates ability to deliver BAU and Change/ Transformation Projects
  • Good knowledge of Analytical tools, MS Access Database, SAS will have an added advantage. Experience in managing diverse analytics projects virtually and cross-functionally.
  • Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of IFRS standards, financial drivers, P&L, and ratios.
