We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Insights and Solution, IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book)
Purpose of the Role:
The role sits within Treasury IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book) Operations and is responsible for delivering meaningful analysis and insights that support decision-making. Role holders will support Group and Regional treasury teams with risk-driver and attribution analysis on reports develop ad-hoc reporting, supports stress-testing requirements, and ensure outputs comply with internal and regulatory guidelines through strong analysis, reconciliation, validation, documentation, and stakeholder management across regions.
In this role, you will:
- Delivery of high quality analysis that cut across legal entities and geographies, with accompanying commentaries providing technical and commercial insight. Provide SME input, when required, in production of IRRBB metrics
- Interpret requests to provide meaningful analysis & commentary to facilitate business decision making. Present dashboard and MI packs to site treasury teams
- Ensure all issues affecting output quality are logged in appropriate systems and tracked for completion. Support implementation of standardized reports and processes across entities
- Support implementation of new reports in line and adherence to internal and regulatory guidelines. Feeding back to SLoD, treasury concerns and opinions on proposed updates and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in providing and ensuring clarity and consistency in terms of scope, assumptions and risk management policy for wider team and entity Treasury. Ensure BCP / BIA are executed as per plan.
- Supporting key project delivery relating to area of responsibility by effective collaboration across teams.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place and executed to maintain consistency & accuracy of reports. Ensure RACI is understood and implemented.
- Proactively assess risks, raise MSII’s and resolve the same as per agreed timeline.
To be successful you will:
- Strong technical understanding of (1) financial products specially rates, (2) interest rate environment (3) financial reporting with balance sheet, and (4) Basel framework.
- Postgraduate/graduate with 3+ years of experience preferably in treasury / regulatory / finance area.
- IRRBB, Treasury, Regulatory / Financial Reporting, Global Markets background is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and experience in managing large volumes of data with an ability to create data-driven stories.
- Strong presentation & communication skills along with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across levels & teams.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite related products i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Knowledge of SQL database, Power BI etc. is a significant plus.
- Ability to identify & mitigate risks by applying appropriate controls.
