We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Solution Architecture.

Principal responsibilities
This is a hands-on role that will carry out the following activities:
- Ensure that the target Technology Architecture roadmap is implemented consistently by engaging with Domain Architects and their respective DevOps teams.
- Lead and own the development and implementation of Enterprise Architecture strategy.
- Be business-driven and drive Architecture direction through alignment with Business structures and stakeholders.
- Stay attuned to technology trends and advise IT and the Business about potential benefits/impacts.
- Assist stakeholders in their appreciation of the Technology Enterprise Architecture, providing the appropriate training and support to maximise their understanding.
- Integrate Architecture into everything we do, rather than it being a “parallel” organisation that’s engaged through silo’ed programmes/processes/governance.
- Build and sustain commitment to long term Architectural goals across multiple teams - drive people advocacy, trust, confidence and integrity to inspire enthusiasm for achieving these.
- Provide regular and robust governance & reporting to stakeholders on the Future State Architecture delivery status.
- Influence and collaborate with stakeholders and Business partners, building strong relationships to ensure consensus and influence change outcomes.
- Collaborate across the Architecture & Engineering communities constantly to solve architectural & design problems.
- Promote standards, architecture reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing.

- Communicate Effectively: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance outcome on the programme. Make better use of the technology solutions more broadly available across HSBC Group where applicable.
- Organise: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
- Planning: Determine strategies to move the organisation forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results. Issue and Risk Management: Assess risks and issues, work with teams to generate and execute effective mitigation and contingency countermeasures. Manage problem situations effectively (including stakeholder engagement, and exceptional communication).
- Behave Ethically: Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the bank.
- Domain knowledge of Traded Risk (Credit Risk, Market Risk or both) including the business stakeholder motivations, operating models and challenges involved.
