We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

• Oversee SVS resource capacity and allocation to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Own SVS delivery timelines, quality and risk management across releases.
• Manage and track the SVS budget, identify cost optimisation opportunities and report variances.
• Lead PI (Program Increment) planning and coordinate sprint/releases with cross‑functional teams.
• Act as the escalation point for SVS issues, coordinating rapid resolution with stakeholders.
• Partner with the SVS Engineering Lead to define and deliver automation, CI/CD improvements and AI‑enabled capabilities.
• Drive efficiency improvements across SVS operations and downstream processes.
• Promote and mature Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) across the team and related stakeholders.
• Communicate status, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders and governance (SteerCo/PMO).
• Mentor and support team members to build technical capability and best practice adoption.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in technical delivery roles with proven leadership of cross‑functional teams.
• Strong experience in software/platform operations, automation and CI/CD practices.
• Solid experience in Agile delivery and PI/Program Increment planning (SAFe experience a plus).
• Budget ownership experience and ability to present cost trade‑offs and optimisation plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and escalation handling skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Technical background sufficient to collaborate with engineering leads on architecture, tooling and automation decisions.
