We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Platform Architecture.

Principal responsibilities

• Support a team of Data Architects in designing and implementing data architecture solutions that align with business objectives, technology strategy, enterprise standards, and industry best practices.
• Help define and communicate the strategic vision for data architecture, considering data governance, data integration, data modelling, ontology, semantic design, domain meaning, and data management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, translate them into actionable data architecture designs, and influence the development of data solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and security by establishing data governance frameworks, data quality standards, data protection measures, and data controls.
• Own end-to-end data pipeline design and interfaces, and ensure models preserve agreed meaning, ownership, lineage, quality, security, privacy, and retention across the data lifecycle.
• Drive the adoption of data best practices, data standards, data management processes, and data-product design principles across the team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with emerging data technologies, trends, and industry developments.

Requirements

• Data Architecture Expertise: You have a deep understanding of data architecture principles, data modelling, ontology and semantic design, data integration, data management, and end-to-end data flow design. You can design scalable and efficient data solutions that meet business requirements, including BIM/CDM, logical, physical, and domain data models.
• Communication with Impact: Your communication skills are strong, allowing you to effectively convey complex data architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can influence and align stakeholders towards the defined data architecture strategies, including architecture approvals, trade-offs, and risks.
• Consulting: You demonstrate strong consulting skills, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights and guidance to cross-functional teams. You can identify opportunities for improvement, shape architecture work packages, and drive data architecture excellence across the organisation.
• Relationship/Stakeholder Management: You excel in managing relationships and stakeholders at various levels, establishing trust and collaboration to drive successful outcomes. You can effectively navigate and influence within a complex organisational structure, including engagement with Data Modellers, Solution Architecture teams, and product owners.
• Problem Solving: Your problem-solving skills are expert level, enabling you to analyse complex data challenges and develop innovative solutions. You can guide the team in overcoming technical obstacles, managing exceptions and dependencies, and making informed architectural decisions.
• Data Governance: You have a strong understanding of data governance principles and can establish and enforce data governance frameworks, data quality standards, data protection measures, lineage, privacy, retention, and security controls across operational and analytical data assets.
