We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Data and Analytics.

 

Business: CTO Data Technology 

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Tech Center China team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and capability uplift; set the team’s ways of working (Agile/DevOps), standards, and delivery governance.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for MENAT initiatives, translating stakeholder outcomes into executable roadmaps and ensuring delivery meets non-functional requirements.
  • Work with the ASP delivery team to align tools/processes and deliver synergies.
  • Manage the MENAT portfolio: priorities, dependencies, capacity, milestones, benefits, and clear reporting on health/risks.
  • Lead data architecture and engineering excellence, defining target-state architecture, leading solution design reviews, and establishing CI/CD, automated testing/quality gates, and operational readiness (monitoring/alerting/incident/runbooks).
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations, ensure controls are designed-in, not bolted-on.

 

Requirements

  • Strong data engineering / analytics engineering background, with hands-on understanding of modern data stacks.
  • Proven engineering leadership experience and delivering at scale.
  • Solid data architecture capability (data modelling, integration patterns, governance, platform design).
  • Portfolio/programme delivery skills (planning, prioritisation, dependency and risk management).
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of controls in regulated environments (banking experience)
  • Technical Skills: data engineering, data plarfotms, SQL and data modelling, DevOps, operational/observability mindset
