We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize system APIs and data processing workflows that synchronize and integrate data from other systems.
• Build reliable services and tools to make data accessible from internal platforms and front-end systems.
• Work with CDC, G3, Java, Shell, AWS, Docker, and K8S to support batch and real-time data processing.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline and System/API issues, ensuring stability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, product, infrastructure) to design data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Contribute to process automation and system monitoring to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

• Solid programming experience with Java, shell scripting, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services for data processing, storage, or automation.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring stability and high availability.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze, debug, and optimize complex data workflows or system API issues.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data integration principles.
• Familiarity with enterprise systems and the ability to work with legacy platforms (e.g., AS400, G3).
• Proficiency in Agile practices (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and tools such as PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and SharePoint for project management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark).
• Knowledge of the insurance domain and related processes.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to large-scale system integration and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices for system reliability.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and contribute to process improvements.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and best practices for API design and integration.
• Hands-on experience with security best practices in data processing, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and successful completion of the SWC (Yellow/Orange Belt) certification.
