We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Senior Software Engineer.

Business: CIB & HBEU Technology 

Principal responsibilities

• Prepare Detailed Specification that describe input, output & logical operation according to functional specification or user requirement
• Develop / Enhance IT solutions according to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirement while adhering to Group IT standards
• Support system integration and regression testing to ensure the quality of deliveries, and support business to complete user functional testing.
• Analysis the risk and communicate with downstreams about the potential impact
• Identify any issues that may arise and develop measures to control risks
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance on existing IT solutions

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Proficient in Java: 5+ years (or demonstrably equivalent depth) building data transformation pipeline
• Proficient in Clojure: 3+ years (or demonstrably equivalent depth) using functional paradigms in production (immutability, protocols, transducers, persistent data structures)
• Familiar with building and tooling: Maven, Leiningen, Nexus, Git
• Familiar with Datomic DB system
• Experience of building REST APIs or internal service interfaces
• Experience of building test automation tooling, CI/CD tooling
• Experience of working in an agile development team and in DevOps mode
• Excellent communication skills: both conversational and written in English
• Strong problem-solving skills: able to reason about consistency, ordering, and data correctness under concurrent workloads
• Quick learner to absorbs, understands, and applies new information efficiently
• Ability to work flexibly and take responsibility for all areas of work as required
• Enthusiasm about working in a global team with different cultures
• Both a teamwork approach and self-sufficiency
• BS degree in computer science, engineering, related field or equivalence experience
