We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Operations Product Lead.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • As Agile Senior Operations Product Lead to distil overall product strategy and roadmap and turn it into action for the Agile Team, ensuring customers' needs are accurately represented to the team.
  • To work within an Agile team consisting of a Scrum Master, Engineers, Analysts and other roles as required to deliver the backlog of the Team.
  • To act as an escalation point for delivery blockers, dependencies or other issues impacting the team or a particular story. Require exceptional decision making, influencing, communication and collaboration skills in order to role model agile delivery practices.
  • Own succinct and clearly written user stories and epics, ensuring the scope, acceptance criteria, definition of ready is met & definition of done is clearly articulated, aligned to achieving key objectives and results.
  • Accountable for the outcomes of the activity undertaken by the Agile Team including accepting work as complete and effective.
  • Accountable for preparing and delivering updates and key messages for Platform and executive stakeholders (globally, regionally and in-market) at executive level forums to secure required buy-in to enable delivery.
  • Accountable for engaging internal and external functions as required by specific delivery needs potentially including: Regulatory Authorities, Service Delivery Functions, Service Providers and Vendors.
  • Accountable for ensuring adherence to approved budgets within the Agile Team. All activities must be conducted in accordance with Group standards, policy and procedures.
  • Alongside the Scrum Master and Agile coach, ensure good working practices across the team, including ensuring Agile ways of operating.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Information System or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in project management, product development or related field.
  • Excellent analytical and facilitation skills to ensure business needs and effective solutions are quickly and clearly defined.
  • Exceptional and demonstrable knowledge of Agile ways of working.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with knowledge on when and how to re-prioritize, or escalate as required.
  • Ability to operate across boundaries of business and technology organizations with excellent breadth of understanding across technology and risk management.
  • Proven experience of creating content for, and presenting at meetings to influence executive stakeholders.

Mandatory skills and experience: 

  • Experience in working in agile methodology (at least 3 years).
  • Evidenced understanding of WPB business and Insurance industry.
  • Proven senior stakeholder communication skills and team management experience.
  • Evidenced experience working in multi-cultural, global oriented projects.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Product Owner.

 

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
