We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Developer, Business Intelligence .

Principal responsibilities

Impact on Business

• The jobholder will be responsible for creating efficient database structures, tables and relationship based on the business requirement.
• Strong knowledge on database design principles, data modeling, data warehousing and normalization
• Responsible for database performance and identify opportunities for enhancements, utilize tools and technologies to track performance metrics, diagnose the issues and implement proactive measures for database optimization
• Developer should work on integrating databases with different systems and applications, ensuring smooth data flow and data consistency across multiple platforms. Also responsible for facilitating data migration and transformation processes
• Ability to implement various data modeling, visualization and reporting techniques and create smart dashboards on QlikSense,
• Ability to create different types of charts for QlikSense Dashboard Analysis
• Developing the Machine Learning Model/Architecture to enhance the performance insights

Management of Risk

• Responsible for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.
• Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.

Observation of Internal Controls

• Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
• Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role.

Requirements

• Proficiency and proven track records of building data modelling.
• Experience in Data Architecture, and Data Warehouse construction using the SQL server and QlikSense dashboard creation
• Knowledge in Data Engineering using Python, Scala
• Experience in ETL
• Knowledge on the Machine Learning Architecture
• Knowledge on the Cloud Architectures
• Experienced track record in analytical environment where the focus has been on developing new analytical tools and performance indicators / analytics
• Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. BI, MI, Analyst is desirable but not essential
• Ability to problem solve, take on analytical challenges and develop solutions where there is no clear answer
• Inquisitive: looks to develop ‘better’
• Analyzing raw data, Developing and Maintaining Datasets, Improving data quality and efficiency
• Must be a self-starter that can work with limited supervision
• Demonstrable ability to work under pressure and make decisions based on priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Ability to plan and organize projects to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
• Strong commitment to service quality
• Strong can-do attitude with a focus on developing partnerships across the organization

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
