Principal responsibilities

  • Payments System Testing:   Conduct comprehensive testing of payments systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 20022 standards.
  • Functional Testing:   Develop and execute functional test cases to validate payments processing functionalities, identifying and documenting defects as needed.
  • Automation Testing:   Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage of payments system testing.
  • Requirements Analysis:   Collaborate with stakeholders to understand payments system requirements, ensuring accurate and thorough test coverage.
  • Defect Management:   Track and manage defects through their lifecycle, providing detailed reports and collaborating with development teams for resolution.
  • Regression Testing:   Perform regression testing to validate the stability of payments system enhancements and updates.
  • Documentation:   Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test strategy, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Collaboration:   Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
  • Responsible to update JIRA test User stories, Creating Defect/Test dashboard and generating daily/weekly test progress report to IT stakeholders.

 

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Lead in the payments domain.
  • Minimum of 10 years of manual and automation testing projects
  • Strong knowledge of functional testing methodologies and best practices. Broad exposure to testing terminologies and processes.
  • Understand the lifecycle of software programming. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SCRUM best practices. Hands-on experience in JIRA.
  • Solid knowledge in Java programming, Cucumber and Postman tools usage.
  • Familiar with the basic use of SQL and relational database e.g. Oracle, MySQL, etc.
  • RestAPI testing experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command and shell script.
  • Superior listening skills, ability to learn quickly, and willing to accept accountability for company and individual success.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Extensive critical thinking skills for problem identification and solution recommendation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and influence technical choices relating to business, development and architectural requirements.
  • Exceptional team player that can lead others in demonstrating initiative and sound business judgment and is interested in expanding skills and growing professionally.
  • Highly flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and think out of the box. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, delivery-focused.
  • The passion and ability to lead/motivate and develop technologist, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Proven experience in working with ISO20022 standards or delivering CBPR+ / RTGS ISO20022 rollouts.
  • Knowledge of any other automation tools, like JMeter and Selenium would be added advantage.
  • DevOps tools experience is a plus, Jenkins, Docker and Git, etc.
