We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Data and Analytics.
Business: CTO Data Technology
Principal responsibilities:
• Define, Design and Deliver the MLOps practice/capability for the bank.
• Work with Model Risk Management to uplift the Model Governance process to fit into UK PRA SS 1/23 regulatory requirements.
• Work with multiple stakeholders from Business/IT/Transformation team to optimize the IRB model delivery process for HSBC to meet the regulatory requirement.
• Work with strategic data platform team to align the MLOps design pattern and post model deployment operation mode.
• Mentor and guide technical teams (15 - 20 ppl) in areas such as MLOps, Model Governance, Spark, K8S-based DevOps, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with MLOps tools and platforms, including Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or similar solutions.
• Expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestration and Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
• Architecture thinking
• Deep understanding of networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure required for large-scale Data Pipelines and ML workflows.
• Proven experience implementing Kubernetes-based DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows, including data preprocessing, model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS including machine learning and data services.
• Proven ability to implement and manage MLOps pipelines, including model reproducibility, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
• Strong delivery management experience, including Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, and resource planning.
• Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to navigate in a super complex organization.
