We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Actuarial Analyst (ESG).
Principal responsibilities
This role will:
- Process requests for economic scenario sets submitted from the business units via the MS teams site in line with local business plans and service line agreements.
- Provide updates to the ESG requestors on the progress of their requests via the MS teams site
- Produce the monthly calibration update and accompanying commentary. Assist the team leader/manager in ensuring any questions/issues raised by users are resolved.
- Support the team leader/manager as required with maintaining the model and production processes so they remain fit for purpose and ongoing use. Actively suggest areas of the existing process that could be further improved.
The role holder will also support, as required, wider actuarial activities including:
- Support for actuarial methodology and assumption review and results production for financial, capital and regulatory reporting
- Carrying out the end-to-end cashflow modeling process from data preparation, model set up, model execution, results review, result analysis and result submissions.
- Participation in group wide or local actuarial projects implementation.
Requirements
- University graduate in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Business Finance, or related discipline
- Student actuary with good exam record
- Good knowledge of life insurance products, regulation, and reporting regimes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills and business acumen
- Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Experience of using ESG software is an advantage
- Knowledge of Python/Alteryx is an advantage
- Knowledge of the stochastic models used within ESG is an advantage
- An understanding of risk neutral market consistent valuation principles is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
