We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Officer.
Principal responsibilities
- Review B-share account related documents and instructions and handle all inquiries related to B-share business, e.g. document requirement, account, ID transfers for change of custodian via pre-agreed means with clients etc.
- Act upon clients’ instructions and documents to arrange account-related maintenance in HUB and GHSS and ensure all documents are kept properly & liaise with CSDCC for all investor code related matters for B-share clients,
- Liaise with CSDCC, local/foreign brokers/custodians and clients for changes of global/local custodian applications and related asset transfers for B-share clients.
- To handle world-check and HUB sanction screening and discounting
- To participate system testing of the Bank and CSDCC for the new services and change of depository requirements, and composing of procedures under the guidance of the supervisors
- To be compliant to local regulations and adherence to customers’ Service Level Agreements; to immediately report any issues identified during daily operations
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Requirements
- The jobholder needs to familiarise details of China B share regulations requirements to perform account opening, maintenance and closure.
- The jobholder needs to deal with CSDCC/clients/counterpart on complicated ID transfer and some irregular account opening requests for the overseas clients, who are in most cases very professional and demanding
- The jobholder needs to have sufficient knowledge of HUB/GHSS/CSDCC systems and understanding of client’s needs so as to maintain proper account/tariff structure, review documents in short turnaround time, and ensure correct input/amendment of clients’ account records.
- The jobholder needs to familiarize details of HSBC sanction and screening policies.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
