We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Software Engineer.
Principal responsibilities
- Provide L2 Production Support for multiple products and applications
- Provide governance on process and drive continuous improvement
- Identify potential issues in deliverables or in existing application setup, provide recommendations and drive for a better architecture
- Provide guidance to junior members in the team
- Work in shifts as per the support roster on rotation basis on working days, weekends and public holidays when needed.
- Be responsible for batch monitoring, alert acknowledgement, incident resolution, change order creation and execution, service recovery, root cause analysis
- Coordinate with L3, development and infrastructure teams during incident resolution. Recover the service within the SLAs.
- Create, review and improve Production Support documentation and procedures, troubleshooting guides, weekly reports summarizing
- Assist in project deployment process from documentation preparation to actual implementation
- Work on HSBC group standard and practices, like ITSA
- Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
Requirements
- Understanding of Service Management activities such as batch monitoring, incident management, change management, problem management, root cause analysis.
- Understand system alerts and notifications and take appropriate action within the SLAs.
- Advantage if familiar with Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Service Dashboard reporting.
- Good communication skills and be able to communicate with business and IT stakeholders effectively and efficiently.
- Should be able to work independently in a cross-location and cross-cultural team.
- Team player; Multi-tasking; good inter-personal skills; Troubleshooting ability & testing skills; organized self-starter.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
