We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Business Accounting and Finance Change Analyst.
Principal responsibilities
- Actively contribute to new business initiatives and projects, supporting finance system and process evaluations, as well as system testing to ensure robust implementation.
- Be involved in rolling out a robust control framework to ensure compliance with prevailing accounting standards and industry regulations and achieve concurrence from external auditors.
- Prepare detailed data for regular financial reporting.
- Timely response to ad hoc external and internal requests.
- Achieve zero material misstatements of financial information reported.
- Provide accurate financial information to business in a timely and reliable manner for business analysis.
- Able to work closely with other local support functions (finance, operations, risk management and middle office), as well as providing information to regional finance
- Build and maintain trust of key stakeholders, including CFO and regional finance team
- Able to deliver on agreed objectives satisfying customer’s needs
- Assist the business when there is any change of regulations or new business initiatives
- Play a key role in Finance Transformation Projects and in-house automation initiatives, driving improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness across Finance processes.
- High awareness of data flows and interface between front office systems and accounting ledgers
- Promote process effectiveness for own tasks.
- Vigilant monitoring of controls and limits
- Establish robust control framework on financial reporting and regulatory reporting, including data control, proper documentation and reconciliation.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or technology and with around 1 years’ experience in financial accounting, financial analysis or management information gained from the China financial market.
- Experience in finance transformation projects is preferred.
- Technical Skills Sets (both below listed technical know-how are essential for the role): Python (with UI interface), Excel VBA.
- Sound knowledge of accounting systems and finance processes is required.
- Knowledge of financing products in the securities business area.
- Ability to document and communicate concepts, flows, designs in a clear and concise fashion.
- Strong business and mind-set together with analytical and problems solving skills.
- Well-organized, detail-orientated, able to cope with tight deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken Chinese. Working English required.
- Exceptional drive, motivation and commitment and focus on operational excellence.
