We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Architect.
Business: CTO Data Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Support a team of Data Architects in designing and implementing data architecture solutions that align with business objectives, technology strategy, and industry best practices.
- Help define and communicate the strategic vision for data architecture, considering data governance, data integration, data modelling, and data management. Ensure that the design approaches align with this vision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, translate them into actionable data architecture designs, and influence the development of data solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and security by establishing data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data protection measures.
- Drive the adoption of data best practices, data standards, and data management processes across the team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with emerging data technologies, trends, and industry developments. Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies to enhance data architecture capabilities.
Requirements
- Leadership: You possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to support and inspire a team of Data Architects. You can effectively communicate the strategic vision and guide the team towards achieving data architecture excellence.
- Data Architecture Expertise: You have a deep understanding of data architecture principles, data modelling, data integration, and data management. You can design scalable and efficient data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Communication with Impact: Your communication skills are strong, allowing you to effectively convey complex data architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can influence and align stakeholders towards the defined data architecture strategies.
- Consulting: You demonstrate strong consulting skills, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights and guidance to cross-functional teams. You can identify opportunities for improvement and drive data architecture excellence.
- Relationship/Stakeholder Management: You excel in managing relationships and stakeholders at various levels, establishing trust and collaboration to drive successful outcomes. You can effectively navigate and influence within a complex organisational structure.
- Problem Solving: Your problem-solving skills are expert level, enabling you to analyse complex data challenges and develop innovative solutions. You can guide the team in overcoming technical obstacles and making informed decisions.
- Data Governance: You have a strong understanding of data governance principles and can establish and enforce data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data protection measures.
- Data Modeling: Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Familiarity with tools like ERwin, Visual Paradigm, PowerDesigner, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Data Warehousing & ETL:Knowledge of data warehouse design. Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data integration. Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
