We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of BFCR Performance.
Principal responsibilities
• Agree the scope and framework to measure performance of all service owned, delivered or supported by IWPB teams linked to Fin Crime Activities.
• Drive clear measurement of performance through metrics and scorecards.
• Ensure Performance being measured, is accurate and reported on an ongoing basis and considers the end to end customer life cycle.
• Make recommendation and drive action to improve performance by working across stakeholders.
• Support delivery of key projects and Programme in BFCRR space.
• Taking a proactive approach drive robust challenge and review.
• Drive implementation of changes by working with various stakeholder groups to simplify and optimise processes.
• Support in managing downstream impact to WPB customers and frontline staff.
Impact on the Business / Function
• Liaise with relevant stakeholder groups to identify/design & implement the most effective/efficient way of managing performance.
• Ensure robust challenge to stakeholders; to drive the right outcomes enabling performance measurement.
• Periodic review of controls owned and operated, service provided etc to identify opportunities for improvements working with regions and countries.
• Drive accountability and operational excellence (achieving set KPIs relating to SLAs/UPT and Quality) through accurate and timely reporting of business process performance.
Customers / Stakeholders
• Work with BRR Utility & Ops / Screening Ops & BFCR Heads/Leads to ensure a seamless stakeholder management and with focus on effectively and efficiently managing the risk while ensuring keeping customer experience at centre of each activity.
• Work closely with the Regions and countries to effectively communicate and provide transparency on all ongoing activities.
Leadership & Teamwork
• The jobholder will continually reassess the operational efficiency, risks and customer experience associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, strategy, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new regulation.
• Operational Effectiveness & Control Uphold and enhance compliance and FCC risk culture inI WPB.
• Maintain strict internal control.
• Protect the Bank and WPB from potential operational loss (tangible and reputational losses).
Requirements
• Experience and exposure to ensure performance management across the client life cycle is effectively measured.
• Experience of driving and managing Process Optimisation, Six Sigma or similar, Re-engineering and Continuous Improvement initiatives (including supporting on training).
• Prior financial crime compliance experience as a change agent or subject matter expert.
• Good understanding of current and potential future technologies within this space.
• Prior experience of managing relationship with regional and country stakeholders, preferably within HSBC.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of financial crime risk controls.
• Prior experience in conducting trend analysis and identifying key improvement opportunities.
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills, inter-personal skills and dealing with executives at all levels including strong review and challenge abilities.
• Proven ability to work across lines of business and regions whilst maintaining a global perspective.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, lateral thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify links between programmes of work.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
