We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of AI and Data Technology, Client Services.

Principal responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of AI, machine learning, and data engineering solutions for Client Lifecycle Management platforms.
- Set technical direction, best practices, and coding standards for the team.
- Mentor and coach data / AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Solution Delivery
- Oversee the delivery of high-impact AI and data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and HSBC’s technology strategy.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Data Strategy & Governance
- Drive data quality, governance, and stewardship initiatives within CLM.
- Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring ethical use of data and compliance with global regulations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance, Operations, Risk) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making at senior levels.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, data, and client lifecycle management.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, data-driven insights, and enhanced client outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience
- Proven track record (10+ years) in AI, data engineering, or software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience delivering AI/ML solutions in financial services, ideally in client lifecycle management, onboarding, or KYC.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data governance, and MLOps best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing technical teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering business value.
