We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Digital Product Management.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Be the product owner, lead development and management of digital journeys on (1) mobile banking app, (2) conversational banking. In particular, the journeys are for delivering Wealth Products and Insights to clients, leading to Wealth Sales.
  • Establish the product roadmap that can balance the evolving customer needs, regulatory standard and optimizing the business outcomes.  Develop a cost-efficient and sustainable operating model in running the product.
  • Work closely with technology & transformation teams to ensure the features are delivered on time and within budget. Be hands-on and remove delivery blockers through taking appropriate actions.
  • Lead thinking on digital journey design, ensuring a seamless and best-in-class customer experience; Own, define and monitor OKRs to evaluate product success (user uptake, data adoption, revenue growth, etc.). Proactively propose and take actions that can out-perform the OKRs by constantly improving the solutions, communication plan and business strategies.
  • Partner with marketing and communication teams to develop go-to-market and commercialisation strategies.
  • Together with data scientists and engineers, draw actionable insights from data ecosystem that can benefit the business and improve customer experience.
  • Maintain a strong product proposition via evaluating customer feedback, analysing market trend and adopting emerging technologies for the product.
  • Collaborate with risk teams, eg. compliance and legal, to ensure the product and use cases comply with the product governance, data privacy law and related regulatory requirements; Deliver the evolving regulatory requirements and take informed decisions to minimize customer and business impact.
  • The role holder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation. They will adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures.
  • They will also be expected to consistently display the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhere to HSBC risk policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in digital product management and equivalent Product Owner roles. Proven track record of leading a product development squad under an agile environment.
  • Lead thinking on mobile journey design that can drive product uptake and facilitate the commercialisation strategies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge on industry advancements in OpenAPI and data-led initiatives (including AI) will be an advantage; Experience working in/with wealth and retail products to drive adoption of business use cases is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy law and regulatory policies related to mobile banking, Open API/data-led projects are preferred; Excellent communication skill with proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Familiar with UX/I design principles, mobile app development cycle, APIs and data analytic tools; Certifications in AI/ML (e.g., Google Cloud AI, AWS ML Specialty) or product management is preferred.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Be expected to have experience in wealth management industry.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.

 

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
