We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Technical SME for Linux System with data centre infrastructure support experience, ideally across a wide range of automation, operational and networking aspects 

  Install, configure, optimize, and maintain infrastructure components in a Linux based Environment

• Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux Environment
• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in production and testing environments
• Demonstrable Linux system administration experience in a large-scale server environment
• Providing rostered on-call support for production server operations
• Ability to work with application team in fast-paced environments with daily and weekly release schedules
• Provide best-in-class customer support in response to our customer's requests and change orders / tickets
• Must be able to work independently functioning in a team environment and work collaboratively with our global counterparts
• Assisting in implementing, executing, maintaining, and documenting proper procedures
• Responsible for navigating across HSBC infrastructure teams and structures, able to communicate with all levels from engineers to management
• Work within the team to drive the technical roadmap for all channels and service fulfilment
• With Cloud-related working experience or related qualification is required

• 5+ years’ Linux system administration experience with a large infrastructure and organization
• Professional certifications in Linux RedHat (RHEL 6/7/8)
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL 6/7/8) platform / system administration, configuration, patch / security fix updates and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of AAP (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform)
• Proven experience in bash shell scripting, ansible playbook, python scripting knowledge
• Knowledge in nShield product (netHSM Connect+ or XC) and virtualization (vCenter) will be an advantage
• Professional certifications in cloud infrastructure architect (Solution Architect cert or equivalent). AWS certification is advantage
• Knowledge in GIT & Jenkins pipeline
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies
• Sound analytical, problem-solving skills and strong work ethics
