We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
Business: CTO Data Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of projects/programmes, maintaining an integrated view of scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and benefits.
- Establish and run portfolio governance routines (steerco packs, RAID, decision logs, action tracking).
- Build and maintain a portfolio resource plan across roles/skills, locations, and time horizons (e.g., 3–6–12 months).
- Forecast demand based on the project roadmap; reconcile against capacity and highlight gaps, constraints, and pinch points.
- Maintain a single source of truth for allocations and ensure changes are controlled and communicated.
- Manage vendors/third parties where applicable (SOWs, deliverables, performance, commercials).
- Engage senior stakeholders with clear, concise updates and options-based recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple projects as a portfolio (or large multi-workstream programme).
- Strong resource planning/capacity management experience (demand forecasting, allocation management, scenario planning).
- Solid project management fundamentals: planning, budgeting, RAID, dependency management, change control.
- Confident stakeholder management with senior leaders; able to challenge constructively and drive decisions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; comfortable with data-driven reporting.
- Tools: MS Project (or equivalent), Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Clarity/GPDM/Pioneer (or similar) is beneficial.
- Excellent in Oral/Written English.
