We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Translate functional requirements into clear technical specifications, including input, output and processing logic
  • Design, develop and enhance IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and meet evolving business needs
  • Build high-quality, maintainable software in line with engineering standards and best practices
  • Support system integration testing, user testing, and high-volume or performance testing activities
  • Identify issues, risks and dependencies early, and propose practical solutions to address them
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting and maintenance for existing applications
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, product stakeholders and global team members to deliver reliable outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices, delivery quality and team effectiveness

 

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java development and enterprise application delivery
  • Good understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with messaging, reporting, batch processing and RESTful APIs
  • Strong JavaScript development skills, ideally with ES6 and experience in React or a similar front-end framework
  • Experience with Spring, Maven, Git, Jenkins and artifact repository tools
  • Understanding of software testing practices and quality-focused delivery
  • Experience working in Agile teams, ideally using Scrum and test-driven or test-first approaches
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated and adaptable, with a willingness to take ownership and support different areas of delivery when needed
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Enthusiastic about working in a diverse, global and multicultural environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
