We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

Principal responsibilities

1. Delivery leadership
Own delivery plans, milestones, scope, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and outcomes across one or more squads/streams.
Drive predictable delivery using agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and pragmatic governance where needed.
Facilitate key ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure continuous improvement.

2. Stakeholder management
Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Architecture, Operations, Cybersecurity, Risk/Compliance, and business stakeholders.
Translate business priorities into delivery roadmaps and sprint/release plans; manage expectations and trade-offs.
Provide clear, data-driven updates to senior stakeholders (progress, risks, decisions required).

3. Team coaching and ways of working

Coach agile teams on agile principles, flow efficiency, estimation, and outcome-based delivery.
Build a high-performing, inclusive team culture aligned to “succeed together” behaviours.
Support onboarding, team health, and capability uplift (e.g., facilitation, agile metrics, DevOps mindset).

4. Governance, risk and controls
Ensure delivery aligns with internal control requirements, auditability, and regulatory expectations relevant to China.
Embed quality, security, and resilience into delivery (e.g., non-functional requirements, change management, release readiness).
Manage third-party/vendor delivery where applicable, including performance and contractual milestones.

5. Execution excellence
Track and improve delivery metrics (e.g., throughput, cycle time, predictability, defect leakage).
Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and integration points.
Support release planning, cutover readiness, and post-release stabilisation.

 

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading delivery in agile technology environments across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills; able to drive decisions and unblock teams.
  • Experience with end-to-end change delivery: requirements, build, test, release, and operational handover.
  • Working knowledge of risk, compliance, and technology controls in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tooling (e.g., CI/CD concepts, Jira/Confluence,  DevOps or similar).
  • Comfortable working across time zones and matrix organisations.
  • Experience / SAFe certificated
