We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: CTO Infrastructure  

 

Principal responsibilities

Impact on the Business / Function

  • Regularly review and test inventory collection and compliance logic to ensure security and vulnerability fixes, and check for new features.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Investigation and implementation of new technologies to deliver solutions with optimal TCO for the organization whilst meeting core business requirements
  • Engineering design activity to support business and domain requirements
  • Production of high-quality supporting documentation for all engineered solutions for operational consumption

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Engineering support for INVCMP teams for normal operation, migration and application transformation project
  • PoC engineering activity for new requirements and features
  • Working collaboratively with peers across domains / disciplines and with vendors / partners to deliver high quality solutions
  • Working with an Agile mentality, rapid delivery iterated with features and components through the solution development lifecycle

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Key focus on development of automation and orchestration tooling to reduce manual interaction at every opportunity

 

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications 

  • Strong experience with common scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, Powershell
  • Strong experience in DevOps tools e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins
  • Strong experience in Automation/Orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD e.g. Jenkins
  • Experience with RESTful API and/or Kong technology a plus
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
  • Experience working within largescale enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience and awareness of Middleware technologies (e.g. IBM WebSphere Product Family, Apache, WebLogic).
  • Experience working with Agile working practices and tooling.
  • Experience working within a DevOps operating model.
  • Strong Engineering background preferred and/or experience to equivalent level.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver fully automation solutions and see projects to completion.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skill.
  • Innovative and transforming lengthy processes.
