The Opportunity:

The Consultant Specialist, takes responsibility for delivery and consultancy of CMB Tech UK Mobile projects. The job holder contributes in successful delivery of projects by providing technical / application guidance to project teams and providing guidance to multiple project teams. The responsibilities entail areas such as conducting feasibility studies, requirement analysis, design and development, technology update, knowledge sharing, as well as coding. The role should be aligned with group standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory, architecture standards and operational risk.

What you’ll do:

• Understand Group and Wholesale strategy, help define technical strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
  
• Plan for people and project management, provide coaching and guiding directly or indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst and architects inside by giving clear direction, feedbacks and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
  
• Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, SMEs, Solution Architects globally
  
• Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with business and relevant stakeholders.  Manage expectation of key stakeholders and work jointly to maximize interest of business and customers
  
• Manage supply and demand pipeline and give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business core interest.
  
• Lead the testing team for CMB Tech UK Mobile testing (both manual and automation)

Qualifications:

• Develop and implement an automation strategy for mobile app testing , considering project requirements , timelines and overall quality goals 
  
• Strong Experience in cucumber-based Appium framework . 
  
• Strong experience in Mobile UI Automation framework setup for iOS Native App and Android App using Appium Desktop, XCode, WebdriverAgent, and Android Studio on real iOS and Android device
  
• Strong Experience in Cross-browser testing , mobile device testing on Android on Android & IOS  native and hybrid apps using local environment &Cloud based environments like Appium & Browser stack 
  
• Solid background as Automation tester with focus on API testing
  
• Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation testing – Java or Python
  
• Experience working on RestAssured or TestNG-based API Automation 
  
• Oversee the execution of automation test suites , analyze results , and report defects.
  
• Provide the Test Manager with accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.
  
• Nice to have - Banking and Financial Services Domain knowledge.
