We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: IWPB Technology

Principal responsibilities:

1. Monitor all test activities (Behaviour Driven Development, System API, Exploratory Test, Accessibility Test etc.) are adhere to the Global Test Strategy.
2. Work across all global activities and support the across functional team in ensuring any testing related dependencies / touch points are in place.
3. Represent testing at Scrum meetings and all other key project meetings and provide a single point of accountability and escalation for testing within the scrum teams
4. Build a cohesive team with Automation Test Engineering and Exploratory Testers whom could be across different cultures and locations.
5. Facilitating the definition of the end to end Test Environment to support the Test approach for Acceptance and Exploratory.
6. Work to drive forward improvements in testing process including automation of testing, regular reviews and improvements to testing processes.
7. Work with backend fulfilment test manager/lead to ensure end to end testing is completed where required with little or no duplication with consideration of regression test coverage required.
8. Establish effective working relationships across other areas of HSBC, e.g. Business Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Transformation Lead, and IT teams.
9. Provide recommendations to the Product Owner and/or other project stakeholders on the product readiness to go live.
10. Provide on-going input into the overall process improvement of the Testing discipline.

Qualifications:

1.  A university graduate with degree in IT, finance or a related discipline
2.  Relevant IT and finance delivery experiences
3.  Have a good understanding of the test process and testing knowledge
4.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
5.  Experience of designing automation tests using BDD/TDD (e.g. Cucumber/JBehave or similar)
6.  A solid understanding of modern testing methodologies and strategies (TDD/BDD/risk based testing)
7.  Comprehensive knowledge and experience on wide testing domain: test automation, performance testing, accessibility test, security test, exploratory testing
8.  Solid understanding and experienced in Agile methodology and way of working
9.  Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
10.  Business and technical knowledge with banking systems would be an advantage.
11.  Familiarity with the HSBC standards and processes would be useful
12.  Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
13.  Effective communication skills in spoken and written English
14.  Good planning skills and quick response for the change
15.  Good decision making skills to be able to evaluate importance of defects found during testing, based on impact
