We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. 

Business: Enterprise Technology L3

Principal responsibilities

  • Design and implement Java-based backend services using frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate.

  • Develop responsive frontend components with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue).

  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

  • Build and optimize relational databases (preferably DB2), including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.

  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with external systems.

  • Deploy and manage applications on Linux environments

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for automated testing and deployment.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

 
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java and JavaScript.

  • Proficiency in:Java EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL/DB2.

  • JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like Angular/React.

  • Python programming and scripting including web development framework like Django, Flask.

  • Database: DB2 (preferred), MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

  • IBM WebSphere Application Server / Liberty.

  • Linux command line and shell scripting.

  • API design (REST) and microservices architecture.

  • Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • Being experienced with visualization tool would be added advantage.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting.

  • Experience with test automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical initiatives.
