We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery and run activities within a DevOps POD, balancing change delivery with production stability.
- Drive project delivery for Digital Business Banking / Open Banking initiatives (e.g., IADS), including planning, execution, dependency management, and release readiness.
- Provide day-to-day business engagement: translate business needs into actionable technology work, manage expectations, and communicate status/risks clearly.
- Lead and execute service management activities aligned to HSBC processes: incident, problem, change, release, service requests, and operational governance.
- Coordinate external bank and regulator-facing deliverables where required (e.g., evidence preparation, technical responses, readiness checkpoints), partnering with internal stakeholders.
- Support DevOps practices: CI/CD enablement, environment readiness, monitoring/alerting improvements, operational automation, and post-release validation.
- Ensure operational controls and compliance are met (HKMA expectations, audit requirements, documentation, traceability, and approvals).
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation (runbooks, SOPs, architecture/service overviews, operational metrics, audit packs).
- Drive continuous improvement: reduce toil, improve MTTR, strengthen observability, and remove recurring failure patterns.
Requirements
- Strong experience in technology delivery + production support in a regulated environment (banking/financial services preferred).
- Proven capability in service management disciplines (incident/problem/change/release), including stakeholder communications and governance routines.
- Hands-on understanding of DevOps operating models (POD/you-build-you-run), including release management and operational readiness.
- Solid knowledge of application/service operations: monitoring, alerting, log analysis, capacity/performance basics, resilience, and troubleshooting.
- Experience coordinating across multiple teams (engineering, infrastructure, security, risk & controls, vendors) to deliver outcomes at pace.
- Strong documentation and evidence mindset—able to produce audit-ready artefacts and maintain traceability.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage business users and technical teams, manage ambiguity, and drive decisions.
