We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Design and Capabilities Lead
Principal responsibilities
• Understand business challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions with fast turnaround times.
• Standardise and automate common capabilities to deliver efficiency, scalability, and consistency across Risk & Compliance 2LOD activities.
• Work with IT and financial engineering teams to ensure specifications meet business requirements and internal standards.
• Maintain strong governance and documentation standards, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit, and risk policies.
• Collaborate with Risk Transformation, IT, Financial Engineering, and Operational Risk teams to align rapid solutions with broader strategic initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and user-centric design.
Requirements
• 8+ years’ experience in software/application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior development role.
• Proven expertise in rapid prototyping and tactical tool development in a large corporate or regulated environment; proficiency in Python and .
• Familiarity with regulatory and supervisory expectations for risk and compliance processes, data quality, and model governance.
• Strong understanding of Risk & Compliance processes, preferably within financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a global matrixed organisation, preferably in financial services and transformation roles.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
