We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Design and Capabilities Developer
Principal responsibilities
• Gather and analyse business requirements to design and develop technical solutions with fast turnaround times.
• Build, test, and deploy applications and tools that support Risk & Compliance 2LOD activities.
• Standardise and automate common capabilities to deliver efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
• Collaborate with IT, financial engineering, and operational risk teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and internal standards.
• Maintain strong governance and documentation standards, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit, and risk policies.
• Support the conversion of EUC solutions into enterprise-grade applications, ensuring control, resilience, and efficiency.
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in software/application development in a large corporate or regulated environment.
• Proven expertise in rapid prototyping and tactical tool development; proficiency in Python is required.
• Familiarity with regulatory and supervisory expectations for risk and compliance processes, data quality, and model governance.
• Strong understanding of Risk & Compliance processes, preferably within financial services.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
