We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end programme delivery for AMH Finance data initiatives on Hong Kong’s pillar cloud data platform. 
  • Own the roadmap, scope, budget, governance, and delivery cadence across multiple workstreams (ingestion, data quality, controls, reporting enablement, and adoption). 
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across Finance, Technology, and control functions, ensuring outcomes meet regulatory and audit expectations. 
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones, removing blockers and keeping teams focused on measurable benefits. 
  • Enable responsible use of existing AI capabilities to improve automation, data quality, and operational efficiency.       

 

Requirements

  • Proven programme management experience delivering large-scale data/platform initiatives, ideally in Finance domains within banking. 
  • Strong understanding of Finance data (e.g., regulatory reporting, reconciliations, controls) and the ability to translate business outcomes into a delivery roadmap. 
  • Track record managing multi-stream delivery (data ingestion, data quality, governance, platform engineering, change/adoption) across multiple teams and vendors. 
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data delivery practices (data products, CI/CD, automation); able to engage credibly with architects and engineers. 
  • Comfortable working with AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., AI for data quality/anomaly detection/ops automation) and driving responsible adoption with clear controls. 
  • Strong stakeholder management across AMH Finance, Technology, Business, and senior leadership; confident in steering committees and exec updates. 
  • Excellent governance and delivery discipline: RAID, dependency management, financial/budget tracking, benefits realisation, and delivery metrics. 
  • Knowledge of regulatory and control expectations (data lineage, auditability, model risk awareness, security/privacy) and experience embedding them into delivery. 
  • Strong communication skills—able to simplify complex topics, influence decisions, and drive alignment across diverse teams. 
  • Hands-on leadership style: proactive, accountable, and able to unblock teams to deliver at pace.
