We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities
1. Partner closely with the GTS application team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
2. Deliver high-quality support to the business, resolving production incidents within agreed SLAs.
3. Manage L1 production support resources across the MX region.
4. Oversee ticket trends, run closure quality checks, and complete thematic/root-cause analysis.
5. Own operational escalations and coordinate timely resolution of production issues.
6. Use AI tools to boost support efficiency and reduce repeat incidents.
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) with 8+ years’ experience in application development, including at least 5 years in a team lead role.
2. Expert-level proficiency in Java and related technologies (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs).
3. Strong experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
4. Experience in banking systems and/or supply chain finance platforms is a strong advantage.
5. Solid software engineering fundamentals with a strong understanding of core design concepts and best practices; proven experience managing the full SDLC using Agile methodologies.
6. Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in Cantonese.
