We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, GCIO Ops Manager.

 

Business: GCIO COO - Enterprise Tech_L3

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Workforce Strategy & Management: Develop and maintain a workforce plan, execute workforce strategies, and support talent development and retention initiatives within their Value Stream.
  • Financial Management: Track budgeting, cost management and financial reporting to ensure transparency and optimisation of resources. Track financial reporting, manage budgets, and validate Value Stream and programme financial benefits. Support the production and review of Investment Cases.
  • Vendor Management: Align objectives with key parties, manage third-party requirements and co-ordinate negotiation and contracting processes. Oversight of new contracts and renewals, liaise with TPEMs and Procurement to ensure timely renewal and best pricing.
  • Portfolio & Accountability: Manage the Change Portfolio, track deliverables and ensure accountability for timely delivery and risk management.
  • Governance: Support Value Stream governance forums, including Value Stream QBRs, SteerCos and Value Stream Tech leadership meetings.

 

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – able to translate complex situations into a simple digestible message and able to tailor message according to the target audience. Able to create impactful presentations and updates for a senior audience.
  • Track record of leading and supporting a high-performance global team
  • Key influencer of people – can demonstrate exemplary teamwork and collaboration skills with ability to gain buy in and support to driving an end state design through to execution.
  • Experience of managing within a complex matrix environment.
  • Deep financial and commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing significant financial and resource plans, organizational transformation, and project portfolio management.
  • Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively.
  • Develops and maintains long term relationships with highly critical stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to influence future direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
